Generosity, Kindness, Compassion, and Caring: These Start At Home (Richard Armitage Week)

on August 9, 2015

When I think of Richard Armitage, I think about words like kindness, compassion, generosity, caring, humble, talented, and intelligent.

In one week, we will begin celebrating all the things we love about Richard Armitage and the words above will most definitely be the centerpieces of why we choose to celebrate him in the first place.

While monitoring our site @RCArmitageWeek today, lovely RA fan @jcatwindsor reminded us that while Mr. Armitage deserves all of the praise we give him, he didn’t become the man he is by himself. His parents raised him to be the wonderful man he is. They instilled within him the values he carried into his adulthood.

Richard Armitage is, no doubt, the most talented actor of our generation. But talent alone, even talent as undeniable as his, cannot sustain a fandom such as Mr. Armitage has achieved. It takes talent combined with an intelligent and humble nature, combined with the compassion, generosity, kindness, and caring instilled by parents who raised their child to love and be mindful of the feelings of others. Generosity, kindness, compassion, and caring: these start at home. It’s no wonder that home is where the heart is.

And so it is our great honor to salute Mr. and Mrs. Armitage for instilling within their son all the values that led him to become the man he is today! He is a man worthy of the fandom that loves him. We appreciate them and we thank them wholeheartedly! ❤️❤️
